Romy Doorn
Creative designer with a passion for healthcare technology and human-centered design. I design products that not only look beautiful, but also truly make a difference.
About me
Hi! I'm Romy Doorn
22 years old and living in Wijhe. I'm curious, creative and always looking for ways to express myself — whether through designing, drawing, baking, school projects or simply in the way I look at the world.
My path hasn't always been straightforward. Personal health challenges have brought me setbacks along the way. Those experiences have taught me how valuable it is to be as independent as possible and to find my own way. They have shaped who I am and brought me exactly to where I am now: a place where I do what I love, learn from what doesn't work and find joy in everything in between.
I believe work only truly feels right when it stays close to who you are. That's why I try to put a piece of myself into everything I make. Not perfect, but genuine.
My interest in healthcare technology stems from personal experience. I know how profound it can be when your body doesn't always cooperate the way you'd like. That motivates me to design solutions that support people in living as independently and comfortably as possible.
I'm social, empathetic and a strong listener. People often say I quickly sense what someone needs. This helps me to truly understand users and look beyond just the problem. I look for solutions that not only work, but also fit into people's daily lives.
